Sack him because of no handshaking !

Lius Suarez continue giving trouble to himself and now his club. Last Saturday he declined to shake hand with Patrice Evra of Man Utd before kick-off.

His action resulting him being condemned by all parties, including his own team boss and Liverpool MD. Liverpool bosses were unhappy because before the match, he agreed to do the pre match handshaking with Evra but he made a u-turn on the field.

Beside being condemned by his own bosses, now the sponsor also sounded their dissatisfaction over his action.

Will Liverpool really want to sack him?

If he is not Suarez then the action will be taken easily but currently, Liverpool needs him more than any other player. With the team struggling to score goal, he is too valuable and important to the team, not even Steven Gerrard can match him now.

For sure, Liverpool will find a way to resolve this mess other than sack him.

Bye-bye Red Devil

Red Devil of Man United was beaten by Liverpool 1:2 at Anfield last night in the Fourth Round FA Cup tie.

The win capped a fantastic week for Liverpool after kicking-out Man City on Wednesday to qualify for their first ever cup final in new Wembley Stadium.

The match between these two teams are always hard to predict who will be the winner and both teams always played all-out against each other. According to statistics for yesterday match, Man United held the longer possession time than Liverpool but too bad the final score that mattered.

The goals are scored by Daniel Agger (Liverpool) on 21minutes, Park Ji-Sung (Man Utd) on 39 minutes and finally Sir Alex was red-faced in the 88 minutes after Dirk Kuyt scored the winning goal for Liverpool.

With the win, Liverpool is one step closer to another match in Wembley and also one step closer to cup double this season !

To all Liverpool supporters, this must be a week to be remembered !

The most embarrassing fact for Liverpool FC - 1

Do you believe that Liverpool has never played at the new Wembley Stadium?

The new Wembley Stadium was reopened in 2007 and since then there were many important football matches, especially cup finals being held there.

All the BPL top teams like Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea had been playing there before EXCEPT Liverpool.

Liverpool must be embarassed to know that there had not played at the stadium before.

More embarrassing fact is that Cardiff City, Liverpool's opponent in Carling Cup Final had play at the stadium before.

As a big club like Liverpool, Wembley Stadium should be a familiar place for them.

Surely Liverpool fans are hoping their beloved team will play at the stadium more frequently after 26 Feb 2012.

The earliest date will be on 12 May 2012 for the FA CUP Final.

A big match is awaiting Vincent Tan at the end of February. The club he bought recently are going to Wembley to play against Liverpool in this year Carling Cup Final on 26 Feb.

Surely he will cancel all his appointment and make sure he will be at Wembley on that day to witness this historical moment.

Cardiff City made it to Wembley after beating Crystal Palace 1:0 in their semi-final second leg on previous night but won the match through penalty-shootout after both team tied at 1:1 on aggregate, and the shootout score was 3:1.

Their opponent is Liverpool who came from behind twice to pull level with Man City last night with the match ended at 2:2 and 3:2 on aggregate in the other semi-final match.

The result earned Liverpool a much needed chance to win a trophy after empty-handed for last 5 seasons.

Which team to support?

Liverpool is the team I supported for long time and Cardiff team is owned by a Malaysian and there are having Malaysia emblazoned in front of their jersey.

Royalty (to continue support Liverpool) or Patriotic (to support Malaysian owned team) ?

No doubt, I am supporting Cardiff City since the buy-over by VT but against Liverpool, I have to choice royalty, so I will stick to Liverpool.

Never mind lets enjoy the match on 26 February 2012.

Another disappointing weekend for Liverpool. Stoke managed to grab one point from the trip to Anfield.

The match was played to a scoreless 0:0. However the result extending Liverpool unbeaten at home this season to 11 matches.

But from the 11 matches, Liverpool only managed to win 4. A rare unimpressive record, as previously Anfield
is a fearful ground by opponents.

Kenny Dalglish must be scratching his head on how to make Liverpool strike-forces find the opponent net.

He has a squad that not lack of big name in the front line, like Suarez, Dirk Kuyt, Andy Carroll, Bellamy, Downing and others. Strangely goals are hard to come by.

With Steven Gerrard back to the team after injuries. The squad still unable to convert chances created into goals.

Maybe Liverpool should recruite one more well known striker to spark the front line.

How about buy back Fernando Torress !!!

Will Liverpool off-load Carroll?

News on Newcastle buying back Liverpool's 35 mil pound striker Andy Carroll across the newspapers today.

A year after joining Liverpool from Newcastle with a record transfer fee of 35 mil pound. The lanky striker failed to shine at Anfield.

He only scored 6 goals in over 30 matches, far from his best in Newcastle. He was supposed to replace Torres but the idea did not materialised.

Newcastle is interested to bring him back with a huge cut in transfer fee. There are asking only 10 mil pound and plus add-ons. Which was rejected by Liverpool immediately.

Liverpool should keep him for another half a season, maybe he will combine well with Steven Gerrard. Whom was just return from his multiple injuries woe.

Unless he is desperate wanted to leave Anfield for a first 11 team in Newcastle. With him being sideline for many matches now, his chances to play in Euro 2012 is getting slim. He needs more matches to impress the England team manager. Otherwise, he has to watch the matches at home.

Hopefully, Liverpool will keep him for a longer period and to have him score more goals to prove his worth.

King Kenny, just give him some time and more matches.

Liverpool, not that good afterall...........

Liverpool beat Wolves 2:1, a good result after 2 straight loses.

However, with team like Wolves, Liverpool should win it comfortable and easily but it was not. Liverpool has to work hard for the three points.

With derby match and the MU visit soon, Liverpool need to buck up and improve their performance to face these two teams. 

Player like Mascherano is still greatly missed, Lucas has not covered his place well. On several occasion the midfield was freely control by opposition which was not the case when Mascherano was around.

Both Carroll and Henderson are overated and overpaid for. Carroll missed two clear chance but at least he has lost some weight, and hopefully he will be a better player soon. But his partnership with Suarez is not perfect, the pair was not getting well.

This is going to be a headache for King Daglish, if Liverpool benched Carroll, it will be a waste of money, as he cost so much money to be benched.

Henderson is the player to be give way to Stevie G. Henderson has not worth the money pour on him.

Stevie G, with only 10 minutes on the field but his contribution is greatly needed. His present is greatly felt yesterday. It will be a great news to the team when he is back.

Again Suarez has proved he is the lifeline for current Liverpool team. No doubt, he is the best player or man of the match yesterday. But he has to watch out for his discipline because he was not happy when being subsituted late in the match.

The back four, Enrique is best among the four. Kelly still long way to go compared to Glen Johnson. The worst is the central back, Skrtel prompt to give away free-kick at the danger area. On Jamie Carragher, the age has catching up with him.

With Coates around, hopefully he can be Liverpool new central back for good.

With over 100 millions pound poured into the team, this is the result Liverpool fans are waiting for, a maximum points from each match. But the team performance is still long way to be league champion.

Oh well, this team need time to gel together.

Player to watch for Liverpool.....

Liverpool beat Malaysia by 6:3 in yesterday Liverpool pre-season friendly match.

The match was watched by 80,000 fans, the stadium is almost full. The atmosphere in the stadium is electrifying and be one of them even fantastic. This is going to be in my memory for long long time, even better than the one watched in Singapore few years ago.

Next, Anfield here I come.

Estimated 20,000 more than Arsenal match. It shown Liverpool by far is the most supported team here. But wait, we will find out from Chelsea match on Thursday.

Sure, Reds will beat Blue.

About player to watch for Liverpool's new season. He is Charlie Adam, number 26.

He did very well last night, the best player on the field. He showed great composure, have some good passing and sit in the midfield well.

Sure, he has more to come when season proper go ahead.

He is worth more than 9 million pound!  Great recruit by King Kenny.

He is going to be a threat to Steven Gerrard.

Farewell Roy Hodgson, Welcome Kenny Dalgish

Finally Hodgson leave Liverpool Football Club after long speculation that he will not stay long in the club. His leaving was expected after a string of poor results.

His temporary replacement is the Liverpool great, Kenny Dalgish. He is a famous player and manager at the club. More story on him.

Hodgson exits as Dalglish takes over

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has left the club by mutual consent. 



Hodgson, 63, won only seven of 20 Premier League games after taking over from Rafael Benitez in July 2010 and led the club to 12th in the table.

Former player and manager Kenny Dalglish has been placed in charge until the end of the season.

"Both parties thought it in the best interests of the club that he stand down," said American owner John W Henry in a statement on the club's website.

Hodgson refused to answer questions about his Anfield future following Liverpool's 3-1 defeat by Blackburn on Wednesday, the club's third loss in four Premier League games, which left them just four points clear of the relegation zone.

And when his press conference ahead of Liverpool's FA Cup third-round match against Manchester United on Sunday was cancelled on Friday, it fuelled further speculation that the former Fulham manager's tenure was drawing to a close.

"I have found the last few months some of the most challenging of my career," read a statement from Hodgson on the club's website.

"I am very sad not to have been able to put my stamp on the squad, to be given the time to bring new players into the club in this transfer window and to have been able to be part of the rebuilding process at Liverpool."

Club ambassador Dalglish will oversee team matters for Sunday's FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.

The 59-year-old won eight league titles with Liverpool as a player and manager, taking charge of the club for a six-year spell between 1985 and 1991.

He also helped the Anfield side to three European Cup triumphs before hanging up his boots.

"Kenny was not just a legendary footballer, he was the third of our three most successful managers - three giants," said Henry, who bought Liverpool in October.

"We are extraordinarily fortunate and grateful that he has decided to step in during the middle of this season."

Hodgson has extensive domestic, European and international managerial experience, which includes spells with Blackburn Rovers and Switzerland, who he guided to the last 16 of the 1994 World Cup.

He also had a period in charge of Italian giants Inter Milan.

He joined Fulham in December 2007 and steered the club away from the relegation zone, escaping the drop on the final day of that season.

He transformed the Cottagers and guided them to their highest ever top-flight finish in 2008-09, reaching the Europa League final the following year.

His results in west London were enough to persuade Liverpool, searching for a successor to Spaniard Benitez, to offer Hodgson a three-year contract in July.

Despite losing influential Argentina midfielder Javier Mascherano to Barcelona for £17.25m in August, Hodgson spent over £20m bringing in Christian Poulsen, Raul Meireles, Danny Wilson and Brad Jones, as well as signing Joe Cole and Paul Konchesky.

But Hodgson endured a tough start in his new job, as his side were knocked out of the Carling Cup by League Two Northampton at Anfield on 22 September, while a 2-1 home defeat to Blackpool on 3 October meant they dropped into the bottom three of the top flight for the first time since September 1964.

And following Liverpool's third league defeat in four matches, at Ewood Park on Wednesday, Hodgson's position at Anfield became untenable.

Former Liverpool defender now BBC Sport football expert Mark Lawrenson said he was "surprised" the team has not gelled under Hodgson.

"He was renowned for improving players at Fulham, coaching them and making them better but at Liverpool the opposite has happened," he said.

"Liverpool have gone backwards and the players he has brought in just haven't worked. I think unfortunately Roy was the wrong man at the wrong time for Liverpool and it has been a case of thanks but no thanks."
