Why RANHILL Withdraws IPO?

RANHILL ENERGY AND RESOURCES BERHAD (Ranhill) announced that it has withdraw their IPO from listing on 31/7/13.

The event was closely related to the suspension of their license by Petronas. Eventhough Petronas agrees to uplift the suspension on upstream activities but the suspension remains unchanged for downstream activities.

In view of these negative development, Ranhill decided not to proceed with the IPO. There will also ensure all application/placement monies for the IPO will be refunded to all applicants or investors without interest soon.

Why RANHILL defer listing ?

Ranhill Energy And Resources Bhd (RANHILL) which was scheduled to be listed on KLSE this 31 July 13, has been defer to a later date. 

According to their company announcement, the deferment was related to the suspension of the license issued by Petronas to an affiliate of Ranhill, Perunding Ranhill Worley Sdn Bhd (PRWSB) on 17 July 2013. The license is to enable the company to offer oil and gas support services to the national oil firm.

SONA Petroleum IPO - Oversubscribed 5.97 times

SONA Petroleum Bhd's IPO offered up to 141 million shares together with up to 141 million attached warrants were oversubscribed by 5.97 times.

A total of 24,035 applications for 842 million shares amounting to RM421 million were received for 141 million shares reserved for public subscription, which represents a subscription rate of 5.97 times.

Those successful applicants will receive their allotment for Public Issue Shares and attached Warrants through mail on or before 29 July 2013.

The listing date is set to 30 July 2013.

ABM Fujiya IPO was oversubscribed by 9.77 times.

The IPO received a total of 6,167 applications for 113 million Public Issue Shares for a total of 10.5 million shares available for public subscription.

Notice of allotment for these shares will be sent to successful applicants via post on or before 22 July 2013.

ABM Fujiya will be listed in Bursa Malaysia Main Board on 23 July 2013.
